God opened my eyes

August 30, 2015

The first week of training camp/ Costa Rica is over! What a week it has been! God has worked in so many mysterious ways and I am so blessed and humbled to even have a relationship with Him! The three days that we had at training camp were so good for restoring my relationship with God. He moved through me in ways I can’t even explain! When you pray to help one of your team mates and as you are about to speak and you can’t think of anything and all of a sudden you start saying stuff but by the end you cant remember what you said. You know that was God stepping in! Having The Lord speak to me through me was a time I will never forget.

On Friday, August 28, we woke up at 3a.m. and packed up and headed to the airport for Costa Rica! We landed around one o’clock in the afternoon. At the airport, we were welcomed by the people of WhyWam where we will be staying for the next five weeks and then over to the Caribbean side for five weeks and back to San Jose for the last three weeks!

Yesterday was the first day missionary day where we spent the day helping the homeless. We went to one of our host families church where they were putting on a service for the homeless. There, we clothed them, bathed them, fed them, gave them a hair cut and shared a message with them. It was a very heart warming and wonderful day that God showed us his love for everyone! I can’t wait to see what God has in store for next time!

Thank You,

Elana Ostler
